Jenny, the Military Spouse

Military Spouses in the News ...and other stories I like

Susan Gamble, military spouse extraodinaire!

Susan Gamble

The following text is taken from af.mil:

Susan Gamble, designer of the Air Force Combat Action Medal, looks at her work after one of the medals was pinned on Capt. Allison Black, 1st Special Operations Group, Hurlburt Field, Fla. The captain was one of the first six Airmen to receive the medal in a ceremony June 12 at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Va. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Brian Ferguson)

My friend Susan has certainly come a long way since she moved away from Tinker AFB in 2004. She and I worked together on the OSC newsletter during Board Year 2003-2004.

When Susan and her husband transferred, she'd just been chosen as one of the Master Artists of the U.S. Mint. Already a stellar graphic artist, she was destined to go far and to do great things.

I'm proud to know her.

What Spouses are Saying

I love, love, love your comic strip and art. I was born an Air Force brat, am retired Air Force and married a career Air Force man and I'm STILL learning. Thanks for the humor. Gotta have it to survive. I've used that 'bloom where you're planted' for a long time and I really like the art you've created for it. Props to you for all you do and keep 'em coming. ~ jocelyn

The "Three Days Later" comic so perfectly fits anyone at a Gulf Coast base! Yard nazi's, fried computers, and hurricanes! ~ andrea

This has really kept me smiling. This is the first deployment for me as a military spouse and let's just say it's been a learning experience. Thanks for the laughs... :-D ~ leigha
