September 7, 2008.    Episode 149: "Two Sides, Same Language "
This actually happened to me at the Taco Bell at Main Street, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan. Neither the cashier nor I knew what to do!.... :-)
September 14, 2008.    Episode 150: "Okinawa Wildlife "
My friend, Caryl the Weatherman, lives in Florida, a climate rife with geckos - similar to Okinawa. She sent me a hand-drawn comic strip,
detailing her love (read: abundance) of geckos in her new home. Meanwhile, in Okinawa, we have a love (read: abundance)
of gigantic bats, as well as geckos. Caryl and I decided to combine to two problems and give them to Cassie while she
adjusts to her new home overseas - in Okinawa, Japan.
September 21, 2008.    Episode 151: "The Japanese Pedicure "
The spas and salons over here are "To Die For"! My tag-line on this was, and still is, "It's true! Google it!"

September 28, 2008.    Episode 152: "O.A.A.R.S. (Okinawan American Animal Rescue Society) "
This is one where I'm on my soapbox. We have so many abandoned animals here on the island of Okinawa that the only shelter the
government sponsors is a "Kill" shelter. Foreigners (meaning Westerners and other non-Okinawan Locals) bring or buy pets they can't afford,
or take care of, and then "set them free" along the many mountainous roads here on the island. This island is just a BLIP on Google Earth...
go check it out if you don't believe me...yet there are thousands of abandoned pets yearly. The Okinawan American Animal Rescue Society
(O.A.A.R.S.) goes to the Kill Shelter and rescues the healthy animals who are slated for euthanasia the next day. Their members then take
these animals into their homes until someone adopts them. Can you think of a more selfless act? Adopt or rescue a pet in your area today.
Barring that, donate to your local No-Kill Shelter. Go to http://www.oaars.com for available pets.
